. I am ready, are you? I just want to jump on a plane...destination... NOWHERE! I want to see where I end up. Isn't that what exploring is? That's what I want to do. I have the endless desire to discover and explore what is unknown to me. I have been that way since I was a little girl and I don't see those desires dissipating anytime soon. I have dreams of places I have been, yet have I actually been there? I don't know, my memory seems to think I have, or it's still a journey I have yet to partake on, but I will... oh yes indeed I WILL!!! One blogging/photography website that caught my eye was Canvas Of Light. It has the most breathtaking photos. Daniel Nahabedian is a professional freelance photographer that focuses on the light in his photos. If you've never felt compelled to travel, take a look at his photos and I am sure you'll change your mind. It's such a great blogging and photography website. He blogs about the equipment and gear he uses to photograph his travels and he talks about the experiences, not only that, he provides tutorials on how to take the right shot. I think to be successful in blogging, you must LOVE what you do and you need to take good pictures. Capturing that feeling that overtakes you when you see something for the first time through a photograph is extremely important. It helps take you back to that very moment... time and time again. To be a great blogger you need to make the reader feel something or think about something in a certain way, using the right words and photos will do just that and help you become successful in blogging. Hope you enjoyed this post. Reference: Nahabedian, D. (December 15th 2015). The Surface Pro 4 Retrieved From http://www.canvas-of-light.com/category/blog/ Graphic Image: belongs to me

Since our project in class this week was to edit an image, I thought I would write about the experience for my next blog post. This was yet another image I took in Denmark over three years ago and I thought I would use it for the project and place an image I took today of my daughters. I titled it "A Few of My Favorite Things," because my daughters and my travels are among my favorite things. I absolutely loved the image afterwards and plan to get it framed. When posting to my banner, I had to make some adjustments to the image, I had to go back and resize the photo, move the text downward and I chose to lighten the image. The original image just didn't fit correctly in the banner size provided so I tweaked the image just a bit and now I think the banner looks aesthetically correct. This was a fun project and my children loved it too because they got to get all dressed up and be models for the day. This photograph was taken in Cophenhagen, Denmark in May 2013. My family is from Denmark so I was very excited to travel and immerse myself in the culture. Danish people are some of the nicest people I have ever met. Cophenhagen was unbelievably picturesque, I couldn't stop taking photographs. I am looking forward to traveling there again soon. |
